Download or Open the Homebase App on a Mobile Device
Homebase Protocols
Availability for the upcoming week (Monday-Sunday) are due by Friday at 4pm of the prior week. If you don’t submit a new availability, you’ll be scheduled for the same shifts as the previous week.
You can expect to receive your schedule on or before Sunday at 12pm.
Regular schedule changes are expected, but if you have an anticipated period of time you nee off for a vacation or leave, use the “time off request” feature…
If you have a shift conflict, please use the “request time off” feature. Do not attempt to find another employee to cover your shift.
For communication with your manager, use the messaging app within homebase in place of texts, emails, or phone calls. This ensures your messages are not lost.
Timesheets, wages, and PTO are recorded in a different software. Any data displayed in homebase such as available days off, estimated wages, or hours worked may not be accurate. Disregard this data.
Please be considerate of the team with your use of the “entire team” messaging service.

How to Use the Homebase App
Setup Your Account
From a Computer:
You’ll receive an email invitation to join homebase with the subject line: “Linda Dunlap at Action Printech Inc has invited you to use Homebase.”
Click “setup your account.”
Create a password for your account.
You’ll be asked to confirm your name and contact information, be given the option to upload a photo, and then you’ll be brought to the homebase dashboard.
From a Mobile Phone:
You’ll receive a text invitation to download the homebase app.
Install and open the app.
Add your email address or mobile phone number.
Click “setup my account.”
Create a password for your account.
You’ll be asked to confirm your name and contact information, be given the option to upload a photo, and then you’ll be brought to the homebase dashboard.
View Your Shifts
View your shifts
With the Homebase employee scheduling app, you can view your upcoming shifts any time. You’ll also get notified when your schedule is published by your manager.
View your shifts
- Open your Homebase Employee Scheduling app.
- Tap Schedule on the lower navigation bar.
- Here you’ll be able to see shifts that have been scheduled and published, along with the total hours you’ll be working for the week.
- To view a different week, scroll the weekdays on the top of the page to the left or right.
Request Availability
Request Availability
With the Homebase app you can send availability requests directly to your manager, plus get a notification when they respond. Approved requests will be used to create your schedule to keep everyone on the team on the same page.
Web
- Sign in to your Homebase account.
- Select homebase in the top left corner. (The home page.)
- On the left side of the page, in the box under the heading Your Schedule, select Update Your Availability. (Written in blue button.)
- On the left, select whether this availability is for the current week, or an upcoming week. If the week you’re requesting is not listed, click the button that says New on the right side of the page. Select the start date (Monday) of the new week and click Create.
- Click on the dates and update the details for your availability: times, preferred/unavailable, and click Add.
- Select Request Approval to send the request to your manager.
App
- Open your Homebase Employee Scheduling app.
- Tap More on the lower right side of the navigation bar.
- Tap Requests.
- Tap Availability
- Tap Request New Availability.
- Tap on the date in the right hand corner to select the start date of a new week (Monday).
- Tap the + symbol to add your request. Update preferred/unavailable, dates, times & repetition if applicable.
- Tap Add in the top right corner.
- Once you’ve populated your availability for the week, to submit a request, tap Submit.
- If your request is approved it will be reflected on your schedule for that day.
Request Time Off

With the Homebase app you can send time off requests directly to your manager, plus get a notification when they respond. Approved requests will sync with your schedule to keep everyone on the team on the same page.
Web
- Sign in to your Homebase account.
- Select homebase in the top left corner. (The home page.)
- On the right side of the page, in the lower box, under the heading Upcoming Time Off, select Request Time Off. (Written in blue writing.)
- In the pop-up, the Whole Day toggle will be green. If you need a specific time frame, turn off the toggle and input the time by clicking into the boxes.
- Select Save to send the request to your manager.
App
- Open your Homebase Employee Scheduling app.
- Tap More on the lower right side of the navigation bar.
- Tap Requests.
- Tap Time Off.
- To submit a request, tap the plus icon in the upper right corner.
- Enter the details of your request including the day, time, category, and memo for reference.
- Click Submit to send your request to your manager.
- You’ll be notified when your manager responds to the request. If your request is approved it will be reflected on your schedule for that day.
Reset Your Password
How to reset your password
On the Mobile App:
- Open the Homebase mobile app.
- Tap Forgot password.
- Confirm your email address & click send sign in link.
- If your email is set up through your phone, click the email link to open your email app. If not, visit your email.
- Tap the link in the email to automatically sign in to Homebase.
From the Web:
- Head to the Homebase sign-in page.
- Click Forgot password.
- Confirm your email address & click send sign in link.
- Check your email. (The subject link is Homebase Forgot Password.)
- Click the link in the email to automatically sign in to Homebase.
Need to update your password?
If you are already signed in to your Homebase account and wish to update your password, click your name in the upper right corner, then click My Settings. Click Your Account in the left navigation and then Change Password and follow the prompts to enter your new password.
Update Your Contact Information

Web
- Sign into your Homebase account.
- Click on your name in the upper right corner of the page.
- Select My Settings.
- You may update the following:
- Name
- Phone
- ZIP code
- Date of birth
- Language preference
- Emergency contact
- Click Save Changes.
Mobile
- Open your Homebase mobile app.
- Tap More on the lower right side of the navigation bar.
- Select Profile.
- Toggle to Personal at the top of the screen.
- Tap the pencil icon to edit your personal info. You may update the following:
- Phone
- Date of birth
- Address
- Emergency contact
- Tap the check mark in the upper right corner to save your new info.
- To update your full name, toggle back to My Profile and tap the pencil icon next to your name.
Notifications and Alerts

You can customize which email, text, and push notifications you receive from Homebase.
Web
- Sign in to your Homebase account.
- Select the Settings tab in the top navigation bar.
- Select Notifications from the navigation bar on the left.
- Check and uncheck the notifications you would like to receive.
- Click Save Changes in the upper right corner of the page.
Mobile
- Open your Homebase Employee Scheduling app.
- Tap More on the lower right side of the navigation bar.
- Select Settings.
- Click Your Account in the navigation bar on the left.
- Select Notifications.
- Select a category to customize your email, text, and push notifications.
- Any adjustments will save and sync automatically.
Sync Your Schedule to Your Calendar
Sync your schedule to your calendar
You can sync your Homebase schedule to your calendar so you can view your commitments all in one place.
- Open your Homebase mobile app.
- Tap More on the lower right side of the navigation bar.
- Select Settings from the menu, then tap Calendar Sync.
- Grant Homebase access to your calendar.
- Toggle the switch next to Enable to turn on the sync.
- Choose the location and calendar you’d like to sync to.
- To help you manage your schedule, you have the option to set an alert for your shift. Click the selection to choose how far in advance you’d like a notification.
- Any adjustments made to these settings will save and sync automatically.
